Pressure Sore Lawsuit Verdict in Virginia – $3 Million

Recently, a Virginia jury awarded $3 million in a pressure sore lawsuit. The Plaintiff, Roger McCraney, developed two Stage IV decubitus ulcers while in a Virginia nursing home. Mr. McCraney suffered from late stage dementia and was unable to reposition himself in his wheelchair. The Virginia nursing home staff neglected him and he developed skin breakdown (bed sores).
